You know that there are many things you can do to keep your mouth healthy. For example, you could consider adding mouthwash to your usual hygiene regimen. Similarly, did you know that using a tongue scraper could also help you? However, if you’re interested in improving your oral health, you might start by brushing your teeth more efficiently.
You should brush your teeth for two minutes at a time so you can adequately reach every tooth. Brushing well is incredibly important, as inadequate brushing actually does very little for your smile. You should brush twice a day, remembering to brush gently and with a soft-bristled brush.
It’s also important that you brush at the right time. You see, if you brush right after you eat, you could actually damage your teeth. You see, after you eat your enamel can be softened, especially if you have consumed anything acidic. You should wait for at least 30 minutes after you eat so that your enamel can harden again.
Please remember that brushing alone won’t be enough to keep your smile as clean and healthy as it should be. You should also floss at least once a day, and pay a visit to our dentist once every six months for a routine cleaning if you’re interested in keeping your teeth healthy and strong.
